Pollux Systems, Inc. extends contract with medical billing leader Zotec Partners
Zotec Partners, an industry leader in medical billing, practice management and Radiology Information Systems software and services, announces today that Pollux Systems, Inc., a revenue cycle management solutions company for hospital and office-based practices based in Newburgh, Ind., has renewed its contract to license software from Zotec for five years.
Pollux Systems is an established revenue cycle management company with a processing center in Evansville, Ind., and a collections center in Paducah, Ky. The company provides revenue cycle management services to more than 40 hospitals and office-based practices in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Pollux Systems began licensing Zotec Partners’ software five years ago following an 18-month search for a billing software alternative to its own proprietary software. Pollux Systems selected Zotec Partners’ billing technology—and continues to license the software—because it affords the best solution to automate reporting, denials management and claims processing, and allows it to reengineer any stalled claims.
“From the onset, we were in need of a strategic partnership with a progressive billing software vendor, and knew that Zotec Partners would stay on the cutting edge of continual software improvements,” said Paul McGowan, CEO and owner of Pollux Systems, Inc. “The company’s software enables us to have a constant handle on what is happening with any claim at any key point.”
The mission of Pollux Systems is to improve financial performance and patient satisfaction through the integration of expertise and technology. Zotec Partners’ software enables the company to build a measurement system with realistic standards at the process level for a significant competitive edge.
“There will be a continual consolidation of the billing industry around sophisticated, advanced technology like Zotec Partners’ software,” said McGowan. “As opportunities for consolidation continue to present themselves, the fact that we have robust billing software puts us in a position to compete nationally.”
Zotec Partners is a solutions firm serving the hospital-based specialty market. The company offers a comprehensive suite of medical billing and practice management tools and services designed to make operations more efficient and productive in medical offices. Its flagship product, the Electronic Billing Center (EBC) practice management and billing software suite, serves 5,500 physicians in 45 states. Zotec Partners’ EBC RIS software version 6.7 is certified for Ambulatory Meaningful Use by the Certified HIT Product List under the EHR Module product classification.
“We are excited that Pollux Systems is continuing to put our technology to work for its clients in order to help them collect on every dollar they’re owed,” said David Law, partner, sales and marketing for Zotec Partners. “Our software provides the company with an integrated set of software tools to reduce the costs of billing for its clients and maximize the potential for revenue.”
