Color Duplex Scanner
The Fujitsu fi-5220C color duplex workgroup scanner comes with a full version of Kofax VRS Professional, Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard and ScandAll 21 image enhancement and scanning software. Scans in color, grayscale and monochrome at duplex speeds up to 50 ipm
and features 600 dpi optical resolution with a dual-CCD scanning
array. A capture correction function provides auto-color
recognition, auto-size detection and auto de-skew correction. A
1-year limited warranty is included and an advance exchange
program is also available.

Low-volume Production Scanner
Capable of a 10,000 page daily duty cycle,
the Bowe Bell + Howell Truper 3200 flatbed and rotary
scanner performs at a 67 pages per minute (ppm) simplex (104 ppm
duplex) color scanning speed at 200 dpi. End-user replaceable
feeder rollers, advanced color dropout, switchable background,
ultrasonic multi-feed detect with multi-feed ignore and barcode
recognition are additional features. Also included, the VRS 4.1
image enhancement software for contrast control, de-skew and
auto cropping, brightness, color detect and rotation.

Multi-function Center
The Brother MFC-9840CDW is a multi-function product (MFP) that offers color laser printing, faxing, copying and scanning with built-in 802.11b/g wireless network connectivity. Features include: automatic duplex capability (two-sided input/output), legal-size document glass, 50-sheet ADF and high-capacity replacement-toner cartridges. This MFP performs at 21-ppm max print speed, 17-cpm max copy speed and approximately 2-seconds per page faxing at best transmission speed. Up to 2400 by 600 dpi print resolution and optical scan resolution of up to 1200 by 2400 dpi are also possible.

Network-ready Copier
The Sharp MX-4501N is a 35-ppm color copier (45-ppm B/W) capable of large-job applications with standard features such as: a 150-sheet document feeder; an ample paper capacity
(up to 5,600 sheets); trayless duplexing; electronic sorting and offset stacking; and, a customizable easy-to-navigate touchscreen display. Additional new features include: a powerful 800 MHz true multitasking color document system with an ImageSEND function that scans documents directly to USB devices, network folders and e-mail, as well as other destinations. Other features include: advanced image stabilization capabilities; 600 by 600 dpi color printing resolution at 35-ppm (45-ppm B/W); standard 768 MB copier memory (640 MB printer/network scanning memory); and, an 80 GB hard drive.

Network Scanner
The Canon ScanFront 220p (pictured) is a letter-size color duplex network scanner that features a large 8.5-inch color touchscreen interface and is capable of scanning directly to e-mail, FTP, shared-folders and USB memory. The ScanFront 220e, available later this year, adds the ShareScan Essentials document imaging software from eCopy Inc. This software is an expandable platform with plug-in application connectors for integrating with popular business applications and services such as document management systems, e-mail and fax servers. Both models also offer fingerprint authentication, ultra-sonic double-feed detection and customizable job buttons.

Medium-sized Workgroup MFP
The all-in-one Lexmark X560n color laser multifunction device prints and copies at speeds of up to 31 ppm, (20 ppm color) from a 50-sheet ADF; resolutions are the same for print (B/W and color, 2400 image quality) and optical scanning, 600 by 600 dpi. The MFP comes equipped with a 400 MHz processor and 384 MB of memory with optional expansion up to 1408 MB. Standard paper handling options include a 150-sheet multipurpose feeder, 250-sheet input tray, 350-sheet output bin and 400-page paper input capacity. The X560n is PostScript 3 and PCL 6 compatible, and includes a 20-character, four-line monochrome LCD and flatbed scanner.
